Franz Maximilian Heisterbergk

Franz Maximilian Heisterbergk (born December 16, 1799 in Oederan , † October 26, 1850 in Rochlitz ) was a German lawyer and politician . He was a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly and the Saxon State Parliament .

Live and act

The son of the doctor and mayor Wilhelm August Heisterbergk (1757-1834) studied from 1819 to 1823 at the University of Leipzig the law . During his studies he joined the old Leipzig fraternity in 1821 . Heisterbergk then worked as a legal intern in various places in Saxony until 1826. From 1826 to 1828 he was an actuary in Chemnitz , then until 1833 legal advisor in Ehrenfriedersdorf . In 1833 he was appointed judicial officer . He initially held this office in Oschatz , then from 1838 to 1846 in Zwickau and finally from 1846 in Rochlitz.

In 1844/45 Heisterbergk belonged to the city council in Zwickau, of which he was chairman in 1845. In 1847 he was a co-founder of the gymnastics club in Rochlitz and a member of the gymnastics council. During the revolutionary events, he took over the chairmanship of the Fatherland Association in Rochlitz in March 1848 . In the 8th constituency of the Kingdom of Saxony (Rochlitz) he was elected member of the Frankfurt National Assembly, which mandate he exercised from May 18, 1848 to May 29, 1849. He joined the factions of the German Court and March Association and opposed the election of Friedrich Wilhelm IV as Emperor of the Germans. After his resignation, Johann Gottlieb Helbig succeeded him in the mandate. In 1849/50 he was a member of the second chamber of the Saxon state parliament as a representative of the 33rd constituency. His brother Ferdinand Moritz Heisterbergk was also a member of the Saxon state parliament in 1849/50.
