Reggiane
Reggiane , full name Meccaniche Officine Reggiane (OMR) , also known as Officine Meccaniche Italiane Reggiane SA (OMIR) is a railway manufacturers and earlier aircraft and engine manufacturers from Italy , of the Caproni group of aviation - engineer and industrialist Count Giovanni Battista Caproni belonged. The company is headquartered in Reggio nell'Emilia . During the Second World War , Reggiane was one of the important suppliers of combat aircraft for the Regia Aeronautica . After the war, the company was initially active in the body shop and then mainly in the construction of locomotives .
history
The first aircraft was the Piaggio P.32bis medium bomber , from which the Caproni Ca.405C Procellaria was developed.
During the Second World War, Reggiane became famous with its fighter planes for the Regia Aeronautica , but also supplied corresponding machines to the Hungarian , Swedish and German air forces .
After the war, the company was initially active in the body shop and then mainly in the construction of locomotives .
