Government of František Udržal I
The Czechoslovak government František Udržal I , led by Prime Minister František Udržal , was in office from February 1, 1929 to December 7, 1929. It followed the Antonín Švehla III government and was replaced by the František Udržal II government .
Government formation, program
It is a continuation of the Antonín Švehla III government after Prime Minister Švehla had to suspend his official duties due to illness. František Udržal, who took over the business without any personnel changes, only expected a transition period and expected Švehla to return soon - he mentioned this hope very clearly in his government statement - and promised continuity. After Hlinka's party HSĽS left the government on October 8, 1929, Udržal announced early elections for October 27, 1929 and his resignation.

Party affiliation
The party affiliation remained unchanged from the previous government (Antonín Švehla III) - a center-right coalition of agrarian and Christian parties, including the two German parties, still ruled. In detail it was:
- then Czechoslovak People's Party - Československá strana lidová, ČSL; a total of three ministers
- German Christian Social People's Party DCV, Czech Německá křesťansko sociální strana lidová ; one minister in total
- then Republikánská strana zemědělského a malorolnického lidu (German: Czechoslovak Agrarian Party), RSZML; a total of five ministers
- Československá národní demokracie (ČsND), (German: Czechoslovak National Democratic Party or Czechoslovak People's Democratic Party), also Národní demokracie (National Democracy or People's Democracy); one minister in total
- Hlinkas Slovak People's Party HSĽS (Slovak: Hlinkova slovenská ľudová strana); a total of two ministers
- Association of Farmers BdL (Czech: Německý svaz zemědělců , NSZ); one minister in total
- Československá živnostensko-obchodnická strana středostavovská ŽOS (German: Czechoslovakian industrial and trading party of the middle class); one minister in total
There were also four non-party members of the government.
In a sense, there was also a member of the Československá strana socialistická ČSNS (German: Czechoslovak People's Socialist Party, the so-called People's Socialists) in the government: Edvard Beneš as Foreign Minister. Formally, however, he was not a member of the government for his party and was one of the four non-party ministers.
