Doboj region

The Doboj region is one of seven regions of the Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina . It is located in the north of the country on the border with Croatia . The population is mainly composed of Bosnian Serbs .

The nominal capital of the area is Doboj with about 98,000 inhabitants.

The region is divided into 9 municipalities:

  1. Bosanski Brod (also just Brod , temporarily Srpski Brod )
  2. Bosanski Šamac
  3. Derventa
  4. Doboj
  5. Donji Žabar (previously Srpsko Orašje )
  6. Modriča
  7. Pelagicevo
  8. Petrovo
  9. Vukosavlje
