Banja Luka region

The Banja Luka region is one of seven regions of the Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina . It is located in the northwest of the country and is the largest and most populous region with 709,000 inhabitants. The population is mainly composed of Bosnian Serbs .

The nominal capital of the area is Banja Luka with 224,647 inhabitants (approx. 308,000 inhabitants in the closer agglomeration)
