Ennedi was a region of Chad and was founded in 2008 from the Ennedi West and Ennedi East departments of the former Borkou-Ennedi-Tibesti region. Their capital was Fada . The region had about 174,000 inhabitants.
In 2012 the region was split up into the Ennedi-Est and Ennedi-Ouest regions .
geography
Ennedi is located in the northeast of the country. In the east lies Sudan and in the north the region borders on Libya .

Attractions
In the west of the region are the lakes of Ounianga , in the southeast is the Ennedi massif with the Guelta d'Archei .
