The regional studio Mainfranken is a regional studio of the Bavarian broadcasting company .

history

Since February 6, 1977, a separate news program (originally "Welle Mainfranken", today "Mittags in Mainfranken") has been produced by the regional studio in Würzburg for the "Mainfranken" region. In October 1995 the regional radio program changes the wave and is broadcast on Bayern 1 instead of Bayern 2 at noon . Today about fifty permanent employees work in the regional studio Mainfranken for radio and television. They are supported by freelancers. The information contributions from Würzburg can be found nationwide in the news programs and magazines of the ARD . In addition, the Würzburg reporters mainly report on Bavarian television and on the five radio programs of Bavarian Radio from Untermain , the Spessart and the Rhön .

Location

The main location with two radio and one television studios is Würzburg . There are correspondent offices in Aschaffenburg and Schweinfurt (radio). The Mainfranken Regional Studio is located at Bahnhofplatz 2 on the ninth floor of the Würzburg Post Tower . On February 6, 1977, the regional studio in Würzburg broadcast Mainfranken for the first time . Initially, the broadcast was from the upper floor of the Sparkasse Mainfranken in the Würzburger Domerpfarrgasse. The move to Rotkreuzstrasse 2a took place in 1981. For reasons of space, the current studio in the Post Tower on the station forecourt was finally moved into in 1996. Radio and television editors work here, networked with correspondents in all of the Lower Franconian districts. With its regional radio broadcasts on Bavaria 1 and Bavaria 2, the Mainfranken regional studio is the only media bracket for the Lower Franconia administrative region. The major broadcasters Kreuzberg , Pfaffenberg and Würzburg as well as the filling broadcasting station Burgsinn take over the regional program of the Mainfranken studio.

Radio

Regularly comes from Monday to Friday between 12:04 to 13:00 from the studio Mainfrankenpark the radio program midday in Franconia (before meeting Mainfrankenpark ) with the regional news on the half hour (weekdays 6:30 to 17:30 and Saturdays at 7:30 am and 8:30 pm) that are broadcast in the current program of Bayern 1. The television team of the regional studio Mainfranken provides the viewers of ARD and the third programs of the ARD, in particular the Bavarian broadcasting daily, with information and film reports from Lower Franconia. Twenty journalists, cameramen, sound engineers, editors, film assistants and an archivist belong to it. In addition, the Mainfranken regional studio has a digital television studio .
