The Burgsinn transmitter is a filling station of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation east of Burgsinn . He uses a precast concrete tower as the antenna carrier.

The transmitter was put into operation in 1991 as part of the high-speed line Hanover – Würzburg to enable ICE passengers to receive the Bavarian radio without interference.

Bayern 2 initially broadcast on the frequency 90.0 MHz in the same wave with the transmitter Würzburg on the Frankenwarte . Due to massive co-channel interference, the station switched to 89.7 MHz in 2006.

The frequency of 103.9 MHz is also planned for Antenne Bayern ; It is not known whether and when it will go into operation.
