Localization of Bavaria in Germany

Hohe Linie is the name of the transmitter for VHF radio and TV northeast of Regensburg on the 475 meter high Keilberg in the municipality of Tegernheim . The Hohe Linie transmitter has existed since 1953. From 1953 to 1972, a 70 meter high free-standing steel lattice tower was used as the antenna carrier, which was replaced in 1972 by a 152 meter high guyed tubular steel mast . Since 1998, a 165 m high reinforced concrete tower has been used as the antenna support for the Hohe Line transmitter.

The analog television program Das Erste was switched off on December 6, 2006 in favor of DVB-T broadcasting. At the same time, they started on the Hohe Linie as well as the Hohen Bogen , the Brotjacklriegel and the Pfarrkirchen DVB-T transmitter in Eastern Bavaria . All three bouquets of the public broadcaster are broadcast on digital aerial television .

The DVB-T channel 7 was launched at start-up in addition to the existing DAB transmitter antenna. In the GRP -cylinder are only the polarized vertically UHF transmitter antennas.

The proper name of the transmission tower is " Prof. Anton Kathrein Tower ".
