The transmitter Visselhövede is a transmitter for radio and television . It is located on the outskirts of Visselhövede . A 167 meter high, guyed steel truss mast, which was erected in 1974, is used as the antenna carrier. In addition to the public programs from NDR and Deutschlandradio , the private programs Hitradio Antenne and ffn are also broadcast in Visselhövede. The third private broadcaster in Lower Saxony, Radio 21 , was allocated a frequency in 2012.

Digital radio ( DAB / DAB + )
Digital radio in the DAB + standard has been broadcast in vertical polarization since November 22, 2011. The nationwide multiplex was added on November 20, 2015, in addition to the programs offered by Norddeutscher Rundfunk.
Digital television ( DVB-T / DVB-T2 )
The Visselhövede transmitter was switched to the DVB-T2 standard with HEVC image coding on May 22, 2019. Optionally, additional programs included as links in Freenet TV connect can be played via an Internet connection if the receiving device supports HbbTV (version 1.5 or higher).
