Localization of Schleswig-Holstein in Germany

The Bungsberg transmitter is located around 750 m north-northwest of the Bungsberg . Its antenna mast is 249 m high, was built in 2004 and has the shape of a guyed steel framework mast. The installation is being used by Norddeutscher Rundfunk for VHF radio , DAB radio and television .

The old tubular steel mast, which was used until 2004, was replaced by a similar-looking, guyed steel lattice mast equipped with transmission antennas for DVB-T . The replacement of the smaller old transmission mast is easy to see in the photo at the top right (with summit stone and transmission mast).

The dismantling of the old tubular steel mast, built in 1960 and 231 meters high, was completed in October 2006.
