The Donaueschingen transmitter (also known as the Donaueschingen 5 radio transmission center ) is a 125.5 m high transmission tower belonging to Deutsche Telekom AG near Hüfingen in Baden-Württemberg , 917 m above sea level.

The type tower (FMT 1/73) built in 1975 and 1976 has an operating floor with a diameter of 33 m at a height of 50 m. In addition to directional radio and mobile radio , it served as an analog basic network transmitter until November 27, 2007 . In favor of the switch to DVB-T , the analog channels were switched off. As a result of the changeover, the station received a new GRP cylinder. The height of the old cylinder with the TV antennas was 33 m. The height of the new GRP cylinder with the antennas for DVB-T is only 16.6 m. Thus the total height since 2007 is 125.50 m (with lightning basket 127.1 m).
