The Ravensburg transmitter on the Höchst near Glashütten ( Illmensee district ) is a 172 m high, guyed tubular steel mast from Deutsche Telekom AG , which served as the basic network transmitter (Ravensburg television station) for the television programs ZDF and SWR Fernsehen Baden-Württemberg until November 27, 2007 . Since then, twelve television programs have been broadcast via DVB-T with omnidirectional characteristics from this transmitter .

The transmitter mast of the Ravensburg transmitter is the tallest structure in the Sigmaringen district after the 244 meter high main transmitter mast of the Lake Constance transmitter near Messkirch was blown up in 2013 after operations were closed.

Further east-north-east of the transmitter there is another antenna support designed as a free-standing steel framework . This second mast construction was first created in 1961 as an antenna carrier for the ZDF , today this mast with various antenna systems is used for various radio services. (Geographical location: 47 ° 49 ′ 20.5 ″  N , 9 ° 24 ′ 3.5 ″  E )

The DVB-T -Ausstrahlungen from the transmitter Ravensburg running since 27 November 2007 and are simulcast (Single Frequency Network) with other transmitter sites. DVB-T2 has been broadcast since October 24, 2018.

The DAB + -Ausstrahlung from the transmitter Ravensburg running since 18 November 2015 and is simulcast (Single Frequency Network) with other transmitter sites.

A quadruple antenna system with 2 horizontal and 2 vertical radiation directions each (mixed polarization) sends the signals at a height of approx. 92 m.
