The transmitter Wittenberg is one of the Deutsche Telekom AG for FM , DAB and DVB-T -powered transmitter . It is located on the Gallunberg in Lutherstadt Wittenberg .
A 186 meter high, guyed steel framework mast , the foundation of which is 134 meters above sea level, is used as the antenna carrier .
Until a few years ago there was a second antenna carrier in the form of a free-standing steel lattice tower .

DAB is broadcast in vertical polarization and in single-frequency mode with other transmitters.
Digital television (DVB-T2)
On March 29, 2017, the broadcasting of DVB-T programs ended and regular operation of DVB-T2 HD began. Since then, the programs of ARD ( MDR -Mux) and ZDF have been broadcasting in the DVB-T2 standard using the HEVC video coding process and in Full HD resolution.
The DVB-T2 HD -Ausstrahlungen from Wittenberg are simulcast (Single Frequency Network) with other transmitter sites.
