The broadcasting station Schleptruper Egge (referred to as Osnabrück-Engter in DVB-T documents ) is a broadcasting facility of the Deutsche Funkturm GmbH (DFMG) for VHF and TV, which is located on the Schleptruper Egge , a wooded area in the town of Bramsche . A 234-meter-high, guyed steel framework mast with a square cross-section, the foundation of which is 147 meters above sea level, is used as the antenna carrier.

Due to the exposed location, the transmitter also supplies large parts of the Münsterland and Teutoburg Forest in North Rhine-Westphalia with radio programs from Lower Saxony, despite the relatively low transmission power.

Digital radio ( DAB / DAB + )

Since May 25, 2012, the digital radio programs of the nationwide multiplex have been broadcast in DAB +. It is transmitted in vertical polarization on DAB channel 5C in the single-frequency network with other transmitters.

Digital television ( DVB-T / DVB-T2 )

The Schleptruper Egge channel was converted to the DVB-T2 standard with HEVC image coding on April 25, 2018. Freenet TV's private programming has since been distributed from the Osnabrück (Schinkelturm) location near Belm . Optionally, additional programs contained in Freenet TV connect as a link can be played back via an Internet connection if the receiving device supports HbbTV (version 1.5 or higher).
