The transmitter Kettrichhof is a broadcasting facility of the Südwestrundfunk for VHF , DAB and DVB-T near the Kettrichhof belonging to Lemberg . The transmitter, located in the district of Südwestpfalz, south of Pirmasens , uses a guyed steel truss mast that was erected in 1985 and was initially 210 meters high. New antennas have been installed since November 19, 2007, which is why the transmission mast "grew" by 26 meters to a total of 236 meters, making it the highest structure in the Palatinate . The transmitter started broadcasting on DVB-T on December 4, 2007.

Range

The transmitter manages to be received as far as the Eifel, the Karlsruhe and Pforzheim region, as well as high places in the Swabian Alb.

Digital radio (DAB +)

Since September 9, 2015, the digital radio (DAB +) has been broadcast using a stacked dipole antenna at 208 m in vertical polarization and in single-frequency mode with other transmitters. On September 26, 2019, the Bundesmuxx was activated on channel 5C with 5 kW ERP transmission power via a dipole antenna at 155 m in vertical polarization.

Digital television (DVB-T)

At the Kettrichhof location, broadcasting with DVB-T started on December 4, 2007 . A DVB-T compatible antenna was installed for this purpose on November 19, 2007. Until shutdown on 28 November 2018, the DVB-T broadcasts in running frequency operation (Single Frequency Network) with other sites.
