The transmitter Remda (Saalfeld) is a transmitter on the Ilm-Saale-Platte at 547.5  m above sea level. NHN high Great Kalmberg near Stadtilm in Thuringia . There, Deutsche Telekom operates a transmission tower for ultra-short wave (VHF), DAB , cellular and directional radio .

history

After the German reunification , the military use of the Great Kalmberg was ended in 1990. Parts of the former NVA site were converted into the Remda transmitter of Deutsche Telekom. This can be recognized by the 169 meter high transmission mast, which is visible from afar, which was erected in 1993 and went into operation on February 10, 1994.
