Reha Kapsal (born April 11, 1963 in Diyarbakır ) is a former Turkish soccer player and current coach.

Player career

Reha Kapsal played in various first and second division clubs in the 80s and 90s .

He is associated with this association through his many years of service at Altay İzmir . He is seen by both the fans and the club as one of the most important players in the club's history. With Altay he reached in the 1983/84 season and in the 1990/91 season the championship of the 2nd Turkish league and thus promotion to the Süper Lig .

In addition, he reached 1995/96 with Zeytinburnuspor over the playoffs of the 2nd Turkish league, indirect promotion to the 1st Turkish league .

In the 1989/90 season he moved to the traditional Turkish club Trabzonspor . Here he failed to jump into the regular formation. So he left the club after a season and a league assignment and went back to his old club Altay.

In 1997 he moved as an amateur player to the amateur league club Malatya Belediyespor and ended his career as an active player here.

Coaching career

Following his playing career, he decided to start a coaching career. His first job was to take on the position of assistant coach at Altay İzmir . He then took over as head coach of the clubs at Marmaris Belediyespor and Manisaspor .

During the season he took over Altay again as assistant coach. After the head coach was dismissed towards the end of the season, he temporarily coached the team and managed with him as master of the TFF 1st Lig the direct promotion to the Süper Lig .

The next season he practiced at Kayseri Erciyesspor again from the post of assistant coach.

In October 2003 he took over as head coach of the second division team Ankaraspor . At the end of the season he achieved indirect promotion to the Süper Lig with this club via the playoffs of the TFF 1. Lig .

For the next season he took over the first division club MKE Ankaragücü . After a series of unsuccessful games, he was fired in December 2004 and replaced by Sakıp Özberk .

In April 2005 he became the coach of the Turkish U-21 national team . Since the coach of this office also oversees the Olympic selection in Turkey, he took part in the 2005 Olympic selection in the Mediterranean Games and won the silver medal. In October 2006 he resigned from this office.

He then trained in series after Karşıyaka SK , Manisaspor and again Karşıyaka SK.

Before the 14th matchday of the 2013/14 season he was hired as the new head coach at the second division club Şanlıurfaspor . At the end of February 2014, he surprisingly announced his resignation.
