course

The origin of the stream is on the western edge of the Ausserfeld industrial park in northern Mitterfels near the confluence of Staatsstrasse 2147 and Staatsstrasse 2140 and north of the former district of Unterholzen . From here it runs, mostly accompanied by a tree gallery, to the west to its confluence with the Aubach, southeast of Großkohlham .

The only slightly longer namesake, which moves in the opposite direction to the Menach, is created just 200 meters further east on the opposite edge of the village on the other side of a small saddle on which the thoroughfare runs.
