The Reinbach is a forest brook about one kilometer long near Markt Mitterfels in the Straubing-Bogen district in Lower Bavaria , which flows into the Menach from the right and northwest .

There is another Reinbach in Mitterfels , which flows into the Kinsach via the Aubach .

course

The stream rises in Mitterfels east of Staatsstrasse 2140 and south of Waldeckstrasse on the edge of the row of houses to the forest. It first runs in an east-southeast direction to the route of the former Straubing – Miltach railway line , which it crosses under, and then further south-east in the valley forest until, after about 900 meters of running near the municipal boundary to Haselbach, in the very last direction south before Höllmühl von Mitterfels Menach flows.

On the last quarter of its course, it flows through a forest pond of less than 0.1 hectares, immediately afterwards a 400 meter long forest stream flows into it from the right, which emerges south of the Mitterfels train station.

northern tributary of the Reinbach

Shortly before the confluence, another, about 1.1 km long, tributary stream runs from the north, in the direction of which the Reinbach then turns for its last few meters. Its headwaters are a little north of the Mitterfels district boundary south of the Haselbach suburb of Rogendorf , after which it feeds a large chain of ponds in its valley basin, where the first five ponds were created by people. They are followed by an area of ​​around 10 hectares , on which beavers have created large areas of water with their dam structures. Later the brook marks the municipal boundary almost towards the end.

The namesake, which is about half as long and runs in the opposite direction west of the Aubach, is being built just 200 meters west of the Reinbach origin on the opposite edge of the village on the other side of a small saddle on which the thoroughfare runs.
