Reiner Scheidhauer (born September 18, 1954 ) is a German motorcycle racer .

Career

Reiner Scheidhauer's father, Willi, was already successful nationally and internationally as a motorcycle racer. Reiner Scheidhauer contested his first race in 1973 at the hill climb in Zotzenbach in the Odenwald on a 50 cm³ - Kreidler .

In 1978 he became German champion on Kreidler in the class up to 50 cm³. In 1988 he won the title in the 80th class of the German championship on Seel .

Between 1978 and 1986 the 1.65 m tall Reiner Scheidhauer also started in the 50 and 80 cm³ class of the motorcycle world championship . He achieved his best World Cup placements in 1979 and 1983 when he was eleventh in the 50 World Cup. His best race placement was fourth in the 50 cc race for the Grand Prix of Nations in Monza, Italy .

Scheidhauer competed in the 125 cm³ class of the International German Motorcycle Championship until 2012 . In 2014, at the age of 59, he competed in the IG premier class on a Honda RS 125.

Reiner Scheidhauer now lives in France Etzling and operates in Saarbrücken - Scheidt a Volvo - Autohaus .
