Reinhart Bartholomäi

Reinhart Christof Bartholomäi (born April 16, 1936 in Balingen ) is a German sociologist and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

Bartholomäi is a qualified sociologist; He studied at the University of Frankfurt am Main , obtained his diploma in 1961 and was Hans Achinger's assistant there until 1963 . From 1963 to 1969 he worked as a social policy advisor in the SPD parliamentary group and from 1970 to 1976 he was a sub-department head at the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. From 1985 to 2000 he was managing director of the Nassauische Heimstätte Housing and Development Company .

Reinhart Bartholomäi is married and lives in Frankfurt am Main.

Public offices

From 1976 to 1985, Bartholomäi was State Secretary and Head of the State Chancellery in the government of the State of Hesse led by Prime Minister Holger Börner .

Social offices

Bartholomäi was chairman of the vhw - Federal Association for Housing and Urban Development from 2003 to 2009 . From 2003 to 2018 he was Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Institute for Social Research Frankfurt.
