Reinhartshofen is a district of the municipality Großaitingen in Bavaria in the administrative region of Swabia south of Augsburg in the administrative district of Augsburg . Hardt (also a district of Großaitingen) borders the church village in the north , Guggenberg in the south, the Eggerhof in the west and Großaitingen in the east. Reinhartshofen is located on the eastern edge of the Augsburg-Westliche Wälder nature park .

The former community Reinhartshofen consisted on July 1, 1973 of the community parts Eggerhof , Hardt , Laiber , Reinhartshofen, Rieger and Zirken .

When they were dissolved on May 1, 1978, Eggerhof, Hardt and Reinhartshofen came to Großaitingen and Laiber, Rieger and Zirken to Mickhausen .

The east route of the Bavarian-Swabian Jakobusweg leads through Reinhartshofen from Augsburg to Lindau. The church of St. Jakob, which is located on a hill in the village, is worth seeing.
