Reinhold F. Bender

Reinhold Friedrich Bender (born August 6, 1908 in Dresden ; † November 11, 1977 in Pellworm ) was a German lawyer and politician ( GB / BHE , later CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1927, Bender began studying law and political science, which he completed in 1931 with the first state examination and in 1934 with the second state examination. He then completed an internship in a Hamburg wholesaler. He first worked at a bank, from 1935 on he was assistant director at Mansfeld AG in Halle and in 1937 he became deputy general manager of the specialist group for the high-glass industry in Berlin . In 1941 he was drafted into the Wehrmacht . He then took part in World War II as a soldier .

From July 1945, Bender had been head of the glass and ceramics department at the Bavarian State Economic Office. In 1949 he became managing director of the regional association of Bavarian industry in Munich . In 1962 he was accepted into the Masonic Lodge Zur Ketten in Munich, and at times he was also a member of the Jacob de Molay Lodge for the Flaming Star .

Bender joined the GB / BHE in the early 1950s.

Bender was a member of the German Bundestag from 1953 to 1957, where he was chairman of the committee for foreign trade issues. He entered parliament through the Bavarian State List . Originally elected for the GB / BHE, he moved in 1955 with the "KO group" around Waldemar Kraft and Theodor Oberländer to the CDU / CSU parliamentary group . He was chairman of the Bundestag committee on foreign trade issues.
