Reinig, Braun + Böhm
Reinig, Braun + Böhm is a folk band from the Palatinate , which was founded in 2000.
style
Her music, which is mainly played on the acoustic instruments piano , accordion , recorder and cello , has its roots in folk music and is enriched by elements from chanson , blues , rock 'n' roll and chamber music .
The musical spectrum of Reinig, Braun + Böhm ranges from settings by contemporary dialect poets to traditional dances from the Palatinate and the French neighborhood. The musicians have dedicated themselves to the Palatinate songs apart from the widespread “Weck, Worscht un Woi” culture.
history
The musical roots of Reinig, Braun + Böhm are the folk groups Siebenpfeiffer , Däumling and Grashalm . They have played with these groups at festivals at home and abroad since 1988, participated in radio and television productions and released some sound carriers. In the current formation, founded in 2000 by Peter Braun and Paul Reinig, they already won 2nd place in June 2001 in the SWR state competition Our Stage in Landau . Two months later, Paul Reinig received the Music Prize of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate for his cultural merits. At the award ceremony at Trifels Castle , the musicians were on stage with Rüdiger Böhm for the first time. Cellist Isabel Eichenlaub often strengthens the band. She came for Charlotte Lettenbauer, who left the group at the beginning of 2010 after eight years of collaboration (both live and in studio productions).
Since 2002, the musicians have been releasing their records, Verzehl ma nix (2002), Johreszeide (2004), Hiwwe un Driwwe (2008) and Winzerhänd (2013), as well as the CD sampler Worzle - 25 years of folk and folk rock in the Palatinate , under their own label Pfalzrecords , with music by the groups Siebenpfeiffer, Däumling and Grashalm (2003), the children's CDs by Paul Reinig Children of our City (2006) and Christmas Mouse and Christmas Gnomes (2011), as well as the CD Carmina Uterinae Vallis by the Siebenpfeiffer group (2011).
