Rems is a cadastral municipality of the municipality of St. Valentin in the district of Amstetten in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 90 building areas with 41,884 m² and 87 gardens on 166,695 m² in the cadastral community of Rems, in 1989/1990 there were 167 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 246 and in 2009/2010 there were 201 buildings on 362 building areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 354 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 69 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 339 hectares and 69 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 286 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 61 hectares. The average soil climate number of Rems is 39.3 (as of 2010).
