Renáta Tomanová (born December 9, 1954 in Jindřichův Hradec , then ČSR ) is a former Czechoslovakian tennis player .

Career

In 1976 Tomanová reached the finals in women's singles at the Australian Open and the French Open . In Paris she lost to Sue Barker and in Melbourne to the former world number one Evonne Goolagong . After winning the juniors title in Paris in 1972, she also won the double title at the Australian Open in 1978 with her doubles partner Betsy Nagelsen . They defeated Naoko Satō and Pam Whytcross in the final 7: 5, 6: 2. Tomanová won her second major title with her compatriot Pavel Složil in 1978 in the mixed competition of the French Open .
