René Vaziri

René Vaziri (born January 26, 1986 in Zurich ) is a Swiss actor .

life and career

Vaziri moved to Germany with his parents in 1992, where he graduated from high school in 2005. Between 2005 and 2008 he returned to Switzerland to take up and complete an acting degree at the European Film Actor School . Vaziri expanded his training by taking a diploma seminar with the Hamburg film director Vivian Naefe in 2008 . After performing a few appearances at the theater, where he played Ferdinand in Schiller's Kabale und Liebe , as well as Treplev in Chekhov's drama Die Möwe , he got a small role in the Swiss comedy Giulias Disappearance in 2009 , in which Corinna Harfouch and Bruno Ganz played the main roles. In 2010, the director Ayşe Polat Vaziri gave the lead role in her migrant comedy Luks Glück , which was based on My Big Fat Greek Wedding as a model. The film was released in theaters in the summer of 2012.

Vaziri, who is involved in various sports, played in the highest junior handball league in Germany until he was 18.

Vaziri's current residence is Mönchengladbach in North Rhine-Westphalia .
