The Renaison (in the upper reaches: Rouchain ) is a river in France that runs in the Loire department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises under the name Rouchain in the municipality of Arcon and initially drains in a generally northward direction. At Les Noës it is dammed up in the Barrage du Rouchain , swings west and takes the name Renaison . After a total of 26 kilometers, it flows into the Loire as a left tributary in the urban area of Roanne .
