Renate Ackermann (born April 26, 1952 in Ansbach ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen , courage ). From October 6, 2003 to October 7, 2013, she was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1971, Ackermann began studying to become a teacher . Between 1975 and 1977 she was a trainee teacher. She interrupted her professional career because of the birth of her five children. She has been working as a curative nurse since 1989.

Ackermann began her political career in the city council of Ansbach, of which she was a member from 1984 to 1990. Between 1986 and 1990 she was district councilor for The Greens in Middle Franconia .

In the election for the 15th Bavarian State Parliament on September 21, 2003, Ackermann was elected to the Bavarian State Parliament through the list of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in the constituency of Middle Franconia and remained in Parliament until 2013. In December 2017, Ackermann resigned from the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party after 31 years because, according to his own statements, it can no longer agree with the regional and national politics of the Greens. In particular, the coalition negotiations on the Jamaica coalition , in which, in Ackermann's opinion, the Greens "were ready for almost any compromise, " prompted them to take this step. Ackermann joined the small party courage , which was founded in 2017, and ran for it in the state election in Bavaria in 2018 .
