The Representative Art Ensemble of the Polish Army ( Polish : Reprezentacyjny Zespół Artystyczny Wojska Polskiego (RZAWP) ) is an ensemble of the Polish Army that cultivates Polish folk traditions and the glory of the army in the form of a musical theater . It takes on the artistic design of Polish state acts as well as historical and patriotic state anniversaries in Poland and regularly gives guest performances at home and abroad with a large number of concerts, performances and other artistic presentations. It performs patriotic, historical and religious songs from Poland and has a rich opera , operetta and musical repertoire. Since 1985 the headquarters of the ensemble has been in Kamienica and in the Palace of the Warsaw Hunters Society at 7 Kredytowa Street in Warsaw.

history

The Representative Art Ensemble of the Polish Army goes back to the tradition of theater and stage ensembles in the theaters of the Second Polish Republic . In the years 1950–1958 it performed under the name of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Polish Army , and in the years 1958–1989 as the Central Art Ensemble of the Polish Army . Since 1989 it has been called the Representative Art Ensemble of the Polish Army . In 2004 the concert orchestra of the Polish Army "Stanisław Moniuszko" joined the ensemble.

Many artists were already working with the Representative Artistic Ensemble of the Polish Army, including Andrzej Hiolski , Bernard Ładysz , Ryszarda Racewicz , Boguslaw Morka , Leszek Świdziński, Iwona Hossa, Leonard Jakubowski , Grzegorz Markowski , Zbigniew Czeski , Józef Grubowski, Jerzy Gruza , Bogdan Augustyniak , Maryla Rodowicz , Czesław Niemen , Ryszarda Hanin , Ludwik Sempoliński and Conrad Drzewiecki .

The Representative Art Ensemble of the Polish Army currently consists of soloists , choir , ballet , symphony and concert orchestras. It has over 600 patriotic songs in its repertoire, has 1,500 costumes from different eras and has historically authentic firearms and edged weapons . It handles around 200 concerts a year. Adam Martin has been the Artistic Director of the Representative Art Ensemble of the Polish Army since 2006 .
