The Resolution 734 of the UN Security Council is a resolution that the United Nations Security Council at its 3040th meeting on 29. January 1992 unanimously decided. Recalling previous resolutions on the matter, and after considering the Secretary-General's report on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), adopted as Resolution 426 ( 1978 ), the Council decided to extend UNIFIL's mandate for a further six months to to be extended to July 31, 1992.

The Council then reaffirmed the mandate of the force and requested the Secretary-General to report on progress made in implementing resolutions 425 (1978) and 426 (1978). He also urged him to look into ways to improve the effectiveness of the force.
