Residual risk - A film about people in prison is a documentary about people who have committed one or more crimes due to their mental illness . The film was shot in the LWL Center for Forensic Psychiatry Lippstadt of the Westphalia-Lippe Regional Association . Several patients, the director of the facility, Nahlah Saimeh, and the adoptive parents of a patient have their say.

The documentary was awarded the Grimme Prize in 2014.
