The HAHN Group GmbH is a group of companies that specializes in industrial automation and robots. It has around 1400 employees at 28 locations in China , Germany , Great Britain , India , Israel , Croatia , Mexico , Austria , Switzerland , Sweden , the Czech Republic , Turkey and the USA . In addition to the head office in Rheinböllen, Rhineland-Palatinate, there is a branch in Frankfurt am Main .
history
HAHN Holding GmbH was founded in 2016. At that time, HAHN Automation, WEMO Automation, HAHN Robotics and Waldorf Technik were part of the company. In 2017 the name was changed to HAHN Group. Invotec was included in the HAHN Group in 2017. GeKu Automation Systems, Kitov Systems, Rethink Robotics GmbH, HAHN Robshare and HAHN Automation UK joined the company in 2018. The companies DFT Maschinenbau, Walther Systemtechnik, HAHN Ruhrbotics and REI Automation joined the HAHN Group in 2019. In April 2020, DAHL Automation was also included in the group of companies.
In 2014, the RAG-Stiftung Beteiligungsgesellschaft took a majority stake in HAHN Automation. Due to this participation, the HAHN Group was founded as a holding company in order to lay the foundation for further expansion.
Integrated companies and brands
- HAHN Automation is a specialist machine builder and specializes in the automation of assembly and testing processes for rubber, plastic and metal parts. There are currently around 800 employees at a total of 11 locations in Germany , China , Great Britain , Croatia , Mexico , Austria , Switzerland , the Czech Republic , Turkey and the USA . The headquarters of HAHN Automation is in Rheinböllen, Rhineland-Palatinate .
- WEMO Automation manufactures linear robotic systems and automation cells. In addition to the headquarters in Värnamo, Sweden, there is a location in Germany and India .
- HAHN Robotics has specialized in collaborative robotics and sells the robots from MiR and Rethink Robotics and also offers advice on automation in companies. The head office is in Reinheim .
- Waldorf Technik specializes in automation in the injection molding sector and is active in the medical technology , packaging technology and barrier technology sectors. It is headquartered in Engen and employs around 100 people.
- Invotec develops and produces automation solutions for assembly, testing and inspection processes for manufacturers of medical devices . In addition to its headquarters in Dayton (Ohio) , the company is also located in Minneapolis ( Minnesota ) and Villingen-Schwenningen .
- GeKu automation systems has specialized in automation for plastics, rubber and metal processing companies. The product portfolio includes system robots, handling technology , conveyor and packaging systems as well as quality assurance systems.
- Kitov Systems is a manufacturer of intelligent visual inspection systems and primarily focuses on high-end electronics manufacturing for the automotive, medical, defense and aerospace industries. The company is located in Petach Tikwa , Israel .
- Rethink Robotics is the manufacturer of the smart Cobot Sawyer. The assets of the originally US company were bought up by the HAHN Group in October 2018 and since then Rethink Robotics has been a German GmbH based in Rheinböllen .
- HAHN Robshare rents service robots for a wide variety of applications such as trade fairs and events, but also for lounges or hotels. Including the robots Cruzr, James, Zora or the coffee-making barista Sawyer from Rethink Robotics. The company is headquartered in Reinheim .
- DFT Maschinenbau specializes in automated assembly and testing technology and produces pumps, brake systems, exhaust gas aftertreatment systems, transmissions, turbochargers, car electrics and safety boxes for the automotive industry. DFT has around 100 employees based in Kremsmünster , Austria .
- Walther Systemtechnik develops and builds systems for dosing applications for the automotive, pharmaceutical, food, rubber, chemical and metal processing industries and has its branch in Germersheim .
- HAHN Digital was founded in 2019 to offer customers digital services. This includes EVE Smart Services, which include customer service via augmented reality , for example , but also the visual inspection systems from Kitov Systems.
- HAHN Ruhrbotics is based in Recklinghausen and has limited its customer base to the Ruhr region . Here the company designs and manufactures automation systems and supports the commissioning of collaborative and industrial robots as well as the use of AI-based image processing.
- REI Automation specializes in the development and construction of customer-specific industrial systems such as assembly lines, robot cells and special machine systems in the medical, nuclear, consumer goods, electronics and automotive industries. The company's headquarters are in Columbia, South Carolina .
- DAHL Automation focuses on the cross-sector automation of small and medium-sized companies with a collaborative approach. The company is based in Meinerzhagen .
