Rettenbach is a church village in the municipality of Aresing in the Upper Bavarian district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen . It was the seat of the municipality of Weilenbach .

location

Rettenbach is four kilometers west of Aresing near the federal highway 300 am Rettenbach, in the middle of the Hallertau in the planning region of Ingolstadt .

history

The property "routebach "is mentioned around 1014 with 19 farmhouses and half a farm yard as a donation to the St. Afra monastery in Augsburg. In the high Middle Ages, the local nobility had fortified seats in both districts of Rettenbach (Ober- and Unterrettenbach), but belonged to the Schrobenhausen district court of the Duchy or the later Electorate of Bavaria . In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , the municipality of Rettenbach was created with the municipality edict of 1818 , which consisted of the places Autenzell, Rosenberg, Rosensteig and the church village and municipality seat Rettenbach. On July 1, 1972, the municipality was incorporated into Aresing as part of the municipal reform in Bavaria .
