Rhatha Phongam ( Thai ร ฐา โพธิ์ งาม , RTGS Ra-tha Pho-ngam ; born May 19, 1983 in Bangkok ) is a Thai actress and singer . Above all in her home country she is also known by her first stage name Yayaying , with which she became famous in the late 1990s. life and career

Rhatha was born on May 19, 1983 as the daughter of the Thai comedy actor Noi Phongam in the capital Bangkok. At the age of six she took ballet lessons; at that time her parents divorced. Her real career began when she was able to convince at an audition with the Celine Dion song Because You Loved Me and then got a recording contract. In the same year she released her debut album Ya Ya Ying and became known nationwide under her stage name Yayaying .
