The Rhine Cargo GmbH & Co. KG ( Rhein Cargo ) with headquarters in Neuss is a joint venture between the ports and goods traffic Cologne AG (HGK) and the Neuss-Düsseldorf ports GmbH & Co. KG (NDH), which each hold 50% owners.

The trimodal oriented logistics company operates the second largest inland port operations in Germany (in Dusseldorf , Neuss and Cologne ) and as railway transport companies (Rus) rail freight active.

A total of seven inland ports with a total throughput of 25.4 million tons (2018) on 560  hectares of land belong to the company. These are four ports in Cologne ( Godorf , Deutz , Niehl I and Niehl II ), the Neuss and Düsseldorf ports and the one in Düsseldorf-Reisholz. With around 90 own locomotives and around 700  freight wagons , 18.8 million tonnes of goods were transported in rail freight transport in 2018 .

In 2012, 21.2 million tons of goods were transported in rail freight traffic, the net kilometer-tonne performance was over 3.4 billion Ntkm.
In 2013, 29.7 million tonnes of goods were handled in the ports. In rail freight transport, 23.97 million tons of goods were transported, the net tonne-kilometer performance was over 4.01 billion Ntkm.
In 2014, 24.08 million tons of goods were transported in rail freight traffic, the net kilometer-tonne performance was over 4.19 billion Ntkm.
In 2015, the transport performance was 23.4 million tonnes, the net tonne-kilometer performance was 4.7 billion Ntkm. The handling in the ports in Cologne, Neuss and Düsseldorf totaled 26.8 million t, including 1.3 million  TEU ( container ).
In 2017, a total of 47.2 million t of goods were handled.
In 2018, a total of 44.2 million t of goods were handled, of which 25.4 million t were handled in the seven Rhine ports operated, of which 16.3 million t were on the waterside. 1.2 million  TEU were handled in combined transport , 18.8 million t were transported by rail. The performance was 3.5 billion net ton kilometers.
