Ric Roman Waugh (born February 20, 1968 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American film director , screenwriter , actor and stuntman . He is known for his work on Felon (2008), Snitch - A Risky Deal (2013) and Shot Caller (2017). He directed Angel Has Fallen , the third installment in the Has Fallen film series, which premiered in the United States on August 20, 2019.

Life

He worked as a stuntman in the 1980s and 1990s and has appeared in several films such as Universal Soldier , The Last of the Mohicans , Last Action Hero , Hard Target , The Crow , Just 60 Seconds and The One .

Roman Waugh's debut film as a director was in the Shadows , in which James Caan , Matthew Modine and Cuba Gooding Jr. are the stars. He later directed Felon (2008), starring Stephen Dorff and Val Kilmer .

Waugh worked with actor Dwayne Johnson in 2013, Snitch . Waugh was also in talks to direct the disaster film Deepwater Horizon in 2012 before leaving the film's development process.

Waugh directed the third installment in the Has Fallen film series, Angel Has Fallen , which will be released in 2019.

In addition to his work as a director, he also worked once as an actor, having played one of the leading roles in Kuffs (1992) alongside Christian Slater and Milla Jovovich .
