Ricarda Beilharz

Ricarda Beilharz (born October 11, 1964 in Munich ) is a German stage and costume designer and theater director .

Life

Beilharz is the daughter of Manfred Beilharz . From 1975 to 1983 she attended the Goethe-Gymnasium in Freiburg im Breisgau . She studied stage design with Achim Freyer in Berlin and then worked as a freelance set designer, including at the Theater am Neumarkt Zurich , the Theaterhaus Gessnerallee , also in Zurich, at the Schauspielhaus Vienna and at the Volksbühne Berlin .

Together with Stefan Bachmann , Thomas Jonigk , Tom Till and Lars-Ole Walburg , she founded Theater Affekt in Berlin in 1992 , and has also worked as a director since 1995 and several of her works have been invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen . During Bachmann's time as drama director at Theater Basel , she was director and head of equipment in the management team from 1998 to 2003. Beilharz productions and sets were shown at well-known theaters and theaters, including the Thalia Theater , the Hessian State Theater Wiesbaden , the Deutsches Theater Göttingen , the Salzburg Festival , the Freiburg Theater , the Burgtheater and the Lucerne Theater .

Since 2000, Beilharz has been a lecturer at various universities, including at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main for dramaturges and theater, film and media scholars and at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater for directing. She is a member of the Association of Scenographers and has been chairwoman of the Hausen im Wiesental music association since mid-2013 .
