Ricardo Lagos Andino

Ricardo Lagos Andino (born August 10, 1954 ) is a Honduran diplomat with Spanish and Honduran citizenship.

Life

He has been married to Claudia Kalhoff de Lagos Andino MA since 1977 (7 children). From 1981 to 1982 and from 1986 to 1989 he was a lecturer at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH) and since 2009 he has been a lecturer in the PhD program in social sciences at the UNAH. From 1983 to 1986 he was a lecturer at the Westphalian Wilhelms University and since 1993 he has been a lecturer at the Institute for Political Science at the WWU. From 2001 to 2007 he was a lecturer at the Münster University of Applied Sciences . From 1986 to 1988 he headed the planning department of the Ministry of Planning. In 1988 he was an advisor to UNICEF . From 1988 to 1989 he was the coordinator for the establishment of the Central American Parliament . From 1989 to 1993 he was deputy director of the Instituto de Relaciones Europeo-Latinoamericanas (IRELA) in Madrid . From 1991 to 1993 he was an advisor to the European Economic and Social Committee . From 1993 to 1994 he was head of department at the Franz-Wärme-Haus Academy in Münster . From 1994 to July 10, 1998 he was ambassador to Germany ( Bonn ) and from November 4, 1996 also accredited to Austria ( Vienna ) and Poland ( Warsaw ). Since 1998 he has been the permanent representative of the Central American Parliament in Europe. From 2000 to 2003 he was an advisor to the Central American Bank for Economic Integration in Europe. From 2005 to 2009 he was a consultant at the Comisionado Nacional de Derechos Humanos en Honduras (CONADEH). Since 1998 he has been the recipient of the Great Cross of Merit with Star and Shoulder Ribbon of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany .
