Richard Falkenberg

Richard Falkenberg (born September 20, 1875 in Elberfeld , Rhine Province , † 1948 in Zeulenroda , Thuringia ) was a German landscape , marine , interior and still life painter from the Düsseldorf School .

In the school years 1893 and 1894 Falkenberg attended the elementary class at the Düsseldorf Art Academy . There he was a student of Heinrich Lauenstein . He also went to the landscape painter Olof Jernberg's studio as a private student . He visited the Düsseldorf Academy again in 1907/1908 and from 1922 to 1925. In Düsseldorf , where he belonged to the artists' association Malkasten and was still called around 1930, he took part in exhibitions from 1904 onwards. Occasionally he also sent items to the Great Berlin Art Exhibition . Like his teacher Jernberg, Falkenberg worked with impressionistic painting styles.
