Richard Hartmann (theologian)

Richard Hartmann (born July 19, 1958 in Bensheim ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Hartmann studied Roman Catholic theology in Mainz, Tübingen and Würzburg and was ordained a priest in Mainz in 1983. In 1988 he received his doctorate in theology with a thesis supervised by Rolf Zerfaß. Hartmann completed his habilitation in 2000 in Tübingen with Ottmar Fuchs and received the Venia Legendi for pastoral theology and homiletics. Since 2002 he has been Professor of Pastoral Theology and Homiletics at the Fulda Theological Faculty . From 2004 to 2008 he was its rector. Since 2009 Hartmann has been chairman of the conference of German-speaking pastoral theologians
