Richard Naumann

Richard Naumann (born February 17, 1906 in Ehrenfriedersdorf , † October 17, 1978 in Lüneburg ) was a German judge and legal scholar .

Life

Naumann studied law at the University of Leipzig from 1925 to 1928 . From 1929 to 1932 he was a court trainee. It was 1930 when Richard Schmidt at the University of Leipzig with a dissertation by the state law of the New England colonies in the 17th century to Dr. jur. PhD. In 1932 he became a court assessor. He was then a district judge .

From 1935 to 1938 he was a research assistant in Leipzig. In 1938 he completed his habilitation at the law and political science faculty of the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel with the thesis supervised by Paul Ritterbusch The changes in the law of the revocation of administrative acts . He then did military service . From 1938 to 1940 he was a deputy professor for public law in Kiel and a private lecturer in administrative law, financial law and constitutional law in Leipzig. In 1940 he became an associate professor for law and in 1942 a full professor for public law at Kiel University. In 1943 he was appointed full professor of law at the Leopold Franzens University in Innsbruck . However, due to the Second World War, he did not take office. In June 1945 he resigned from university service as a “ Reichsdeutscher ”.

From 1946 to 1954 a teaching position for law at the University of Hamburg followed ; afterwards he was honorary professor for administrative law, finance law and constitutional law there. During the same period he was a full-time judge. He was Senate President at the Hanseatic Higher Administrative Court in Hamburg, President of the Higher Administrative Court of Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein in Lüneburg and Vice-President of the Lower Saxony State Court .
