Richard Strahl

Richard Strahl (born June 25, 1884 in Marburg , † April 6, 1957 in Speyer ) was a German administrative lawyer and ministerial official .

Live and act

After attending school, Strahl began to study law at the Philipps University in Marburg . In 1902 he became active in the Corps Teutonia Marburg . As an inactive , he moved to the Hessian Ludwig University . In 1906 he was appointed court trainee and in 1911 court assessor. 1907 doctorate he became Dr. iur.

From 1914, Strahl took part in the First World War. In 1915 he became a consultant to the Reich Commissioner to discuss violence against German civilians in enemy territory. From 1917 to 1918 he then worked as a temporary assistant in the communications department of the foreign affairs department.

From 1918 to 1933, Strahl was head of the Reichszentrale für Heimatdienst , an authority of the Reich government entrusted with political information and educational work . In this position he was promoted to senior government councilor in 1923 and to ministerial councilor in 1926 . During the German occupation of France , Strahl headed the branch of the Accounting Office of the German Reich in Metz .

After the Second World War , Strahl was head of the Rhineland-Palatinate Court of Auditors in Speyer. Strahl's estate essentially consists of three manuscripts and is kept in the Federal Archives (Germany) under the signature N 1789 .

Since 1925 he was with Felicitas geb. Wilde from Berlin married. With her he had two daughters.
