Rico Morack (born February 18, 1988 in East Berlin ) is a German football player who has been under contract with Hertha BSC II in the Regionalliga Nordost since 2015 .

Career

Born in Berlin, Rico Morack came to Hertha BSC in 2003 through the Potsdam clubs FV Turbine and SV Babelsberg 03 . There he played three years in the youth and won the German B youth championship 2004/05 with the B youth team at the side of Christopher Schorch , Jérôme Boateng and Manuel Schmiedebach . Towards the end of his youth at the club, he moved up to the second team of the capital club. In the first year he was there only twice at the end of the season and was also relegated to the league. There he was able to establish himself in the team and after Hertha II was able to qualify for the new Regionalliga Nord after the change in the league structures , he was a regular in the fourth-highest German division in the 2008/09 season.

Then Morack took the step into professional football and joined the second division TuS Koblenz at the age of 22 , where he received a two-year contract. When the "Schängeln" failed to start the 2009/10 season, he got his chance in central defense and in defensive midfield in the second half of the first half of the season. He played there six second division and two DFB Cup games. After a coach change during the winter break, however , the new coach Petrik Sander relied on more experienced players in the second half of the relegation battle. After losing relegation, Morack left Koblenz and was initially without a club for half a year before returning to Hertha's U-23 in February 2011.

On the last day of the summer 2011 transfer period, he then moved to the 3rd division for SV Babelsberg. For the 2012/13 season, Morack moved to fourth division TSG Neustrelitz in the Regionalliga Nord-Ost. With TSG he was in his second year, the 2013/14 season , regional league champion, but failed in the promotion games to the 3rd division. Morack moved to league rivals FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin in the 2014/15 season and back to Hertha BSC II in 2015.
