societies

Childhood and youth

Christopher Schorch grew up in the Neustadt district of Halle . His parents were shift workers in the local chemical industry. In order to get school problems under control, the father registered him in the football department of the Nietleben SV Askania 09. Here he took over the position of defender , which he retained in the subsequent period.

Schorch moved from Nietlebener SV to the sports school of Halleschen FC , the city's most famous club. Due to the consistency he showed here, he was given the opportunity to play in national selections and to take part in viewing courses during this time. However, a broken leg prevented the continuation of the still young career.

Hertha BSC

Nevertheless, the Bundesliga club Hertha BSC signed the convalescent Schorch for the 2004/05 season. As a consequence of the broken leg, he was only able to prove himself slowly and played irregularly. Finally he prevailed and became a regular player in the second formation that played in the third- tier Regionalliga Nord . Due to the performances shown, Christopher Schorch then switched to the club's professional squad from the winter break of the 2006/07 season, but only played 2 games by the end of the season.

In a conversation in June 2007 about his prospects, there was a dispute with the Hertha manager at the time, Dieter Hoeneß . Schorch then saw no future in the club and wanted to change immediately. He moved out of the Hertha boarding school and tried to terminate his contract early as part of a legal dispute.

real Madrid

In July 2007, Schorch signed a contract with Real Madrid that ran until 2012 . The transfer fee was one million euros. At first it was unclear whether he would be used in the club's first or second team. On July 27, 2007, Schorch's Berlin law firm announced that he was scheduled for the Primera División . After his arrival in Madrid, however, Schorch confirmed that he would be used in the third-class Segunda División B for Real Madrid Castilla . After initial difficulties and only twelve games in Real's second team in the 2007/08 season, he made it into the regular team at the beginning of the following season, so that in November 2008 the then coach of the senior squad, Bernd Schuster , was promoted by summer at the latest Promised in 2009. In the second half of the season, however, Schorch was out due to injury for a long time and only made three appearances.

Return to Germany

For the 2009/10 season he moved to 1. FC Köln and signed a four-year contract. After Schorch tore a cruciate ligament in the U-20 international match against Switzerland on March 3, 2010 , he could no longer be used for the rest of his first season at FC.

In August 2011 he was loaned to the second division Energie Cottbus until the end of the season, for which he played 10 games. In February 2014 he was signed by the second team of VfL Bochum after six months without a club . For the new season 2014/15 he joined the third division club MSV Duisburg . There he was regularly called up in the defense, but could not fight for a permanent place. In 2015 he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga, but his contract expired at the end of the season.

In October 2015, Schorch, who was previously without a club , moved to FC Energie Cottbus, which has now been relegated to the third division . After relegating to the fourth-class regional league with Energie Cottbus, he moved to FSV Frankfurt in summer 2016 .

At the beginning of May 2017 he signed a three-year contract with KFC Uerdingen 05 . On January 29, 2019, the association announced Schorch's exemption.

In February 2019, Schorch completed three test matches with the US MLS franchise Chicago Fire during its training camp in Madrid. However, there was no obligation.

In May 2019, Schorch signed a contract with the regional league team 1. FC Saarbrücken that was valid until June 2021 . With Saarbrücken he was promoted to the 3rd division as champion in the 2019/20 season , and they also reached the semi-finals in the DFB Cup .

National team

Schorch has played a game for the German U16 national team . On March 9, 2005 he was used from the start in the junior international match against Switzerland (0-0) in Berlin. Then he was appointed to the U-17 . He made a total of 16 international matches here and scored four goals. Schorch played his first U-17 junior game on September 14, 2005 in a 7-0 win against Qatar in Aurich . He then moved to the German U-20 national team and made his debut on September 7, 2007 in the game against the Netherlands; Overall he came to four missions in the U-20.
