Rieste is part of the Bienenbüttel community in the Lower Saxony district of Uelzen .
The place name was adopted from archaeological research as a type designation for a certain type of burial place on the Lower Elbe (armed burial field without jewelry).
Geography and transport links
Rieste is located southwest of the core town of Bienenbüttel on the K 20 district road . The B 4 runs to the east and flows the Ilmenau . The 250 ha large nature reserve Schier break and Forellenbachtal extends north.
