Schierbruch and Forellenbachtal is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony community of Bienenbüttel in the district of Uelzen and in the community of Barnstedt in the district of Lüneburg .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 187 is about 250  hectares . Of this, 236.7 hectares are in the Uelzen district and 13.3 hectares in the Lüneburg district. The nature reserve is part of the FFH area "Ilmenau with tributaries". The 37.6 hectare “Forellenbachtal” natural forest reserve, designated in 1990, is part of the nature reserve. The area has been a nature reserve since November 16, 1990. The responsible lower nature conservation authorities are the districts of Uelzen and Lüneburg.

The nature reserve is located west of Bienenbüttel. It encompasses the largest part of the Eitzener Bach (also Troellenbach) from its upper course to the Bienenbütteler district Grünhagen a little above the confluence with the Ilmenau with its valley area as well as some backwaters and adjacent lands. The river lowlands are mainly characterized by grassland and semi-natural deciduous and swamp forests . The grassland is mainly used for mowing and as pasture .

The Schierbruch in the west of the nature reserve, southwest of Eitzen I , is characterized by the alder forest and damp oak-hornbeam forest. The natural forest reserve "Forellenbachtal", which is located on the lower reaches of the Eitzener Bach, is u. a. characterized by alder forest, alder-ash forest, oak-hornbeam and grass-beech forest.
