The Black Moor near Gavendorf is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxon municipality of Wrestedt in the joint municipality of Aue in the Uelzen district .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 028 is 12 hectares in size. It has been a nature reserve since January 20, 1976. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Uelzen.
The nature reserve is located northwest of Suhlendorf and provides a high moor rest in a shallow valley under protection. The bog is by drainage and Handtorfstiche changed and bog birch - pine forest and birch swamp forests overgrown. Next to it is Erica to find. As a special feature, the swamp porst occurs here at its western limit of distribution.
In the south and northwest of the nature reserve there are grassland areas that are used for agriculture. The nature reserve is largely surrounded by agricultural land. In places it borders on wooded areas. The area drains to the Kroetzer Bach, which flows over the Willendorfer Graben and Esterau to the Stederau , a source river of the Ilmenau .
