The Jastorfer See bird sanctuary is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony town of Bad Bevensen and the municipality of Emmendorf in the joint municipality of Bevensen-Ebstorf in the Uelzen district .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 036 is 16.5  hectares in size. It is completely from the conservation area surrounded "Ilmenau". The area has been a nature reserve since November 16, 1977. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Uelzen.

The nature reserve is located south of Bad Bevensen between Jastorf and Heidbrack. The area represents the western part of the Jastorfer lake , a quarry pond , in the course of the construction of the Elbe side channel is formed in the immediate vicinity, with its predominantly planted with trees shore area, and a Erlenbruchwald under protection. In the protected part of the lake, deep water areas and shallow water zones were created.

The lake is u. a. Habitat for water birds and amphibians . So different are ducks , hood and little grebe , marsh harrier , bittern and Kingfisher ago. In the nature reserve is u. a. a cormorant colony. In the north of the lake there is a viewing platform outside the nature reserve , from which most of the lake can be seen.

Since 1984 the entire lake and thus also the nature reserve has been looked after by the Uelzen district group of the German Nature Conservation Union .
